From Oct. 27 to 28, 2018, the activity“Explore China-Amazing Qingdao”hosted by CSC and organized by China University of Petroleum was held in West-Coast New Area of Qingdao. More than 90 overseas students from 27 countries took part in this activity. They visited Qingdao West-Coast Planning Exhibition Hall through which they learnt about the development of China's economy and truly felt about Chinese corporate culture. They also visited Haiqing Town and Tea Ecological Garden, experienced China’s tea culture and rural life and witnessed the progresses China had made in the rural construction.
In the exhibition hall, the students had a better understanding of the local landscapes and the overall plan of the area, including its concepts, policies and development patterns. During the visiting, they couldn’t help holding up their thumbs to “Chinese speed”.
On October 28, they visited Haiqing Town of Qingdao City. It is a small town well-known for its tea culture which holds a history of nearly 2,000 years. At present, the tea culture and industry gain a considerable scale in the town. Students strolled in the tea garden covering an area of nearly 30,000 mu. “I have never seen unpicked tea leaves. They are totally different from the tea we drink before,” said Vasilina, an overseas student from Russia.
